Cruise Reccommendation
Thursday, 08 May 2008

I've just found a couple of fabulous itineraries on Costa Cruises. Now, I don't really know much about them, except that it is a European company. But if I'd known about these options last year when we went to Greece, I think I would have gone with either the Greece/Croatia Cruise or the Croatia/Greece/Turkey one (this one is really great - stops in Dubrovnik and Istanbul). The latter is only $800 or so per person for August of this year! Highly reccommend.

Blog: Cellphone Bling
Wednesday, 07 May 2008

ImageAllow me to introduce you to the cause for my recent disappearance. Before you say, "why that's only a cellphone!" let me tell you how much more it is than that. It is a symbol of change and new tidings, it is a statement of coolness, it is....it is an emotional investment.

I am notoriously monogamous, as some of you may know. I only ever dated one guy, and married the schmuck. It took me a while to give up Rachael Ray for Martha Stewart as my favorite cooking celebrity. I drove my 1998 Beetle into the ground (it literally begged to be retired the day we sold it - the engine died that morning). And more importantly, I had been carrying around the cellphone I bought in 1999/2000, my very first, paid with my very own money.

Where the Indian passport can take you

So here's an interesting read, albeit from a completely unreliable source. But I can't imagine it will be all incorrect.

Blog: I'm free! I'm free!
Friday, 02 May 2008

The last of my assignments was done this morning. Yay!!!!! Believe me, you don't know what a bitch transcription of tapes is unless you've done it. Throughout the gazillion hours that it took me to transcribe my counseling session, I kept going, "What do I use an "um" after every third word?? AAAHHHH!" Therefore, homework for self before the next semester starts is to speak more coherently, use less "um's" when I talk and generally sound sassy and sophisticated (which I don't).

Speaking of sassy and sophisticated, did anyone watch Grey's last night? Thank God for Kate Walsh (aka Dr. Addison Montgomery) who epitomizes these two adjectives. She is one of those women, who just oozes sass into every frame.
